Our History

St. George Greek Orthodox Church was built in 1914. The church was located near downtown Oklahoma City on northwest 8th and Western. It was in the mid-80’s when St. George moved to its current location of northwest 145th and north Pennsylvania. The Greek Festival began as a bake sale at the old location. Both events began as fundraisers to help build the church. Now, the Greek Festival functions as an outreach program to introduce Oklahomans to Greek culture.
